The plumbing behind looking professional
A domain that belongs to you and an email address on your own name. Not part of the free website package, but for a small additional charge we handle the whole lot so nothing gets lost, locked or misconfigured.
Small details that quietly cost you work
Then there is the domain itself. Plenty of businesses discover years later that a previous developer registered it in their own name, and getting it back is painful. We set it up properly, in your name, from the start.
The quote that looks serious
Two quotes arrive, one from a personal Gmail and one from your company domain. On bigger jobs that difference is worth more than the setup costs.
Owning your own domain
If your domain sits in somebody else's account you do not really control your website or your email. We register it in your name.
Emails that actually arrive
Set up wrongly and your quotes land in spam without either of you knowing. The security records that prevent this are fiddly, and we handle them.
What we handle
The work itself, not a mystery retainer.
- Domain registration, or transfer of a domain stuck with an old provider
- Registration in your name wherever practicable, so you keep control
- DNS setup and pointing the domain at your new website
- Professional email on your domain, set up on your phone and computer
- Security records (SPF and DKIM) so your emails reach the inbox
- Plain guidance on renewals and what you are actually paying for
What happens when you say go
Usually done inside a couple of working days, and you do not have to touch a control panel.
Check and secure
We check what is available or where your existing domain currently sits, then register or start the transfer.
Point it at the site
DNS configured so your domain serves the website and your email keeps working throughout.
Set up your inbox
Professional email created and working on your phone and computer before we call it done.
What it costs
Domains are an annual charge and business email is a small monthly cost per mailbox, both set by the providers rather than by us. There is a modest one-off fee for doing the setup properly. We confirm the exact figures before anything is registered, and your domain is registered to you: we will never hold it as leverage.
